Easy Kitchen Upgrades For Holiday Entertaining

With the holiday season right around the corner, now is the perfect time to start planning how you’ll entertain your guests. There are some easy upgrades you can do to help make the holiday season a happy one, and it all starts in the kitchen.

Pot filler: If you’re getting ready to boil water at the stovetop, you know the challenge of carrying the wet stuff from the sink to the stove. Since a gallon of water weighs nearly 8 ½ pounds, that’s a lot of stress on your back, shoulders, and arms.

A pot filler mounts to the countertop or wall near the stove, so when you need to fill a pot with fresh water, simply swing the spout over the pot and turn on the water. When you’re done, the spout swings back out of the way.

Bar sink and faucet: Also called a prep sink and

Durable Luggage at Discounted Prices

Picture this: traveling home this holiday season, you are the last some-odd passenger on the plane. The overhead is full and you are forced to check your carry-on. Of course, you packed that clunky roller bag from grandma, with the wonky wheels and featureless black design. You cross your fingers it lasts through that rigorous airport handling and board the plane. At the baggage claim as you wait for your bags (is that your black bag?), you notice one poor luggage ripped with its contents spilled out all over the carousel. Then you realize—it is Your bag with the ripped zipper. It is Your underwear coming round the belt. In front of the entire plane you must claim what remains of grandma’s luggage and your dignity. Any traveler’s nightmare, only it’s a true story. That

Jump Start the Holidays with One-of-a-Kind Savings

At last it’s November! The holidays may seem a dream away, but in reality they are just around the corner. That means it’s great time to start saving on gifts, especially for all those hard-to-buy-for friends and relatives. Think grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers and coworkers. These are gifts you want to spend a little extra time saying “Thank You” or “I love you” or “I’m Your Secret Santa” and don’t want to end up in the back of the closet, collecting dust. An easy solution is a personalized gift, filled with the faces of family and friends, like the photo gifts available at Kodak Gallery. Find great ideas, like photo magnets, photo ornaments, prints and more, making those hard-to-buy friends easy to cross off your list.

And, for a limited time, Kodak

Laughter is Cheaper than Candy This Halloween

Happy Halloween! One of my personal favorite holidays, the perfect combination of costumes, candy, and a silly spooky good time. My friends and I throw a highly anticipated over-the-the top Pumpkin Punch and Zombie Zinfandel costume extravaganza each year. The lawn becomes a creepy ghostly graveyard and the house a blacklit Dr. Frankenstein disco room primed for the Monster Mash. Only this year, after spreading cobwebs and pumpkins and fake hands around the house, we somehow forgot an important party of the party plan: the invitations. Whoops… less than a week away, snail mail was impossible. And Facebook/email invites don’t convey magnitude of the ghoulish party people have come to expect.

That’s when we found out about JibJab, home of the funniest eCards on the web. The Read more →

Fun, Colorful, and Creative Socks. And did we mention Free?

Socks and laundry. Laundry and socks. No two words combined make me cringe more than the thought of doing my laundry and matching my socks. Finding which slightly white sock matches which other slightly white sock makes me run and hide. White and off-white, or slightly white and white-white? Who can tell the difference? The tedious routine makes me procrastinate and procrastinate on doing the laundry. Years ago I finally gave up on the whole process, and now just toss the assorted boring whites into one drawer, making choosing socks a rather dull affair. Poor socks. For something I wear nearly everyday, there must be something to make socks, well, fun?

So thank you to LittleMissMatched for making socks cool again. LittleMissMatched started out as a sock store with the simple yet
