Another Mother’s Day?

Another Mother’s Day is here again, leaving all dedicated children scrambling, last-minute, for the perfect gift and card. It seems that many of us find ourselves in this predicament every year; the holiday rolling around, with no idea what to get the women we owe our very lives to.

First, flowers are a given. Flowers bring beauty and tranquility to their surroundings; something we think mother’s everywhere can truly appreciate. But there is a proliferation of floral sites, with combined thousands of possible arrangements…which do you choose? Well, here at Coupon-Gurus, we have picked out a few of our favorites from the top floral sites.

From Flora2000.com, we fell in love with “Tuscan Sky” (which also happens to be $10 off), “Blushing Secret”, and “Amsterdam Calling.” Another favorite site, FloraFlora.com, also had three arrangements we found absolutely stunning for mom: “Pink Spray Bouquet”, “Mom’s Delight,” and “Mother’s Garden”. At Flower.com, we were drawn to the “Spring Tulip Medley” which embodies the very essence of spring. FloraQueen.com had a gorgeous one called “Spring Fields” that any women, mother or not, would be excited to receive. At JustFlowers.com, we were especially thought “Blooming Beauties” was a great arrangement, and at Philip’s 1800Florals.com, we absolutely fell in love with “Warmest Wishes Bouquet”.

But for this Mother’s Day, maybe it is time to give more than just flowers. How about a gift that mothers can really get something out of? Borders.com has highlighted several books for this Mother’s Day, including a Chicken Soup for the Soul book called “Thanks Mom: 101 Stories of Gratitude, Love and Good Times.  Or maybe she’d be interested in “Lift”, an inspirational book about surviving cancer with a families’ love. A book is a thoughtful and sentimental gift, so this might be just the thing this year to bring a lasting smile to your mother’s face.  From fiction to non-fiction, Borders.com has a great selection of books geared towards mom for you to peruse.

Lastly, what about something totally different?  An espresso machine from CoffeeMakers.com? Or maybe a Mother’s Day charm necklace from GiftTree.com, or a Home Shopping Network card from HSN.com, so she can pick out her own gift? The idea is putting thought into it, rather than picking the first arrangement to pop onto the homepage of some tired old site. Peruse coupon-gurus.com’s many stores to get ideas (as well as valuable savings) for greats gifts for the woman you owe it all to.
