Getaway for Labor Day - No Laboring Necessary!

I know planning a Labor Day getaway now is kind of last minute, but some of the best trips I’ve gone on have been spur of the moment decisions. There’s something to planning out say, I don’t know, a tour of Europe that has its benefits, but it must be said that the spontaneous adventures are often the most fondly remembered. And if you just want a quick escape within your region—or country for that matter—there’s no better time than Labor Day weekend to get both three days off and some fantastic travel deals.
Expedia.com—one of my first online stops when booking tickets—for example, is offering savings of up to $450 when you book your flight and hotel together. Don’t believe me? Check it out here. Sometimes it really does pay to fly by the seat of your pants and buy a ticket when inspiration strikes—namely at the last minute.
Already got your flight booked but still need a hotel? Hotels.com has you covered. Book before September 6th to enjoy up to 40% off your room! Considering the kind of prices hotels can get away with during holiday weekends, savings like this create a more even playing field for travelers in a struggling economy.
As a dedicated (and struggling) traveler myself, I never buy anything without first trying to find online discounts and coupons. The most legitimate deals? Coupons that are exclusive to a site. Case in point: CouponGurus has an exclusive CheapOAir coupon code for $10 off any booking online at CheapOAir.com! I know it doesn’t sound like much, but every little bit adds up, and when it’s an exclusive through a reputable site like CouponGurus, it’s guaranteed to work—and most importantly—save me money.

And if you’re feeling really adventurous—and with some savings to burn—it’s not a bad idea to brave the bidding system at Priceline.com. We’ve all seen the commercials: “Priceline Negotiator!” never ceases to get stuck in my head. For those savvy globetrotters that want to name their price, it only makes sense to head over to Priceline.com, especially now that they’re boasting up to $500 in savings for Caribbean vacation packages! If I could get the time off work I know I’d be signing up for one right about now, that’s for sure.
If you have the time, you’ll be more likely to afford the Labor Day (or any day) vacation you’ve been dreaming of when you go through CouponGurus. Expedia coupons, Hotels.com discounts, CheapOAir promos and Priceline savings abound, so it’s okay to look (and even book!). Excuse the rhyme, but let’s be frank: you deserve it, right?
Thought so.
“Priceline Negotiator” stuck in your head yet? You’re welcome!
