Tis the Season for Holiday Shopping

In my family, the wintery holiday season has always been about last minute shopping. So much of mid-December is consumed by the sheer frenzy and anxiety of getting presents - good presents - before Christmas Eve. The frenzy also gets induced by finding Christmas cards, stocking stuffers, wrapping paper, bows and ribbons. Now that I think about it, the only member of my family who hasn’t been in the last minute holiday shopping frenzy was my Grandma. She was always quite the opposite. She planed her Christmas gifts, wrapping paper, tuck-in gifts, and stocking stuffers months in advance. This year, I’ve decided to take queues from Grandma.

Since we are already at the end of October, it’s time to get your December holiday shopping on. I don’t mean to rush you, but believe me, you’ll thank me come December. For the most successful and fun holiday shopping experience I suggest first making a list of everyone you’ll need to get a present for. Once the list is settled, start brainstorming ideas of what each person may like. Rack your brain and be creative. Think about what they’ve said they’ve always wanted and try and go that route (it’s consistently successful).

Once you have your ideas, go online or shop in-store at relevant places. This way, the worry is off your chest when everyone else is scrambling to find presents. You’ll also have a head’s up because you’ve had plenty of time to brainstorm exactly what each person on your list really, and I mean really, wants.

Which brings me to my next piece of advice. Once you’ve bought and ordered the presents, you’ll need wrapping paper, bows, ribbons, stocking stuffers, and more, generally the things you don’t even consider until a few days before Christmas. Right now, CurrentCatalog has given Coupon-Gurus customers a great deal where you can save 15% on your orders of $40 or more. CurrentCatalog is known for their personalized holiday cards, gift wrap, checks, gifts and more. I suggest swinging by there first to get the biggest bang for your buck, and a wide selection of holiday necessities. CurrentCatalog has everything from knit holiday hats for wine bottles to festive treat holders to holiday cutting boards.

Also, at ColorfulImages you can save 15% on orders of $30 or more, using Coupon-Gurus exclusive promo code, DDA36U.
